Kate Gawlik, CNP

Kate Gawlik graduated from the College of Charleston in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. After spending some time living and working in the medical field in Boston and then in the education field in Costa Rica, she was inspired to go into the field of nursing. Kate returned to get her nursing licensure and soon after a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Kate graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University in 2009 and received the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau Honors Award. Kate is certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and holds a Certificate of Authority and a Certificate to Prescribe in the state of Ohio.

 

Following graduation, Kate worked in both family medicine and urgent care settings and has now officially joined the Monarch Health staff after serving time as a student and covering for Joyce Casey’s recent maternity leave. Kate also teaches part time in the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at The Ohio State University. Her clinical interests include women’s health, diabetes management, health promotion, and alternative medicine. She lives with her husband Jason and enjoys traveling, playing sports, and reading. She is currently in the process of obtaining additional certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
